Ford didn't outclass Honda and Toyota.
Fusion outclassed Accord and Camry. |
no more like Mazda did and Ford just got a helping hand
|
Mazda is a part of Ford. its clearly a better car.

Haha! I NEVER would have guessed something on the Ford website would make themselves come out on top. First of all, the clip doesn't state the results, it's just got a few people saying how good the Ford was. Second, the fusion tested was all wheel drive! It's no wonder why it was more stable in cornering. How about comparing apples to apples? Lastly.....................suckers, way to fall for classic advertising.
I'm off to the GM site where they say they're the best, lol. EDIT: It gets better! I love the praises on styling when half the car is a copy of the previous gen Civic. :-missingt |
That's the point of the commercial. Fusion is the only car in class to offer awd and it shows on the track. Ford (mazda) did get the fusion right and it is a better car than either of those two.

I don't think you'll find a car with the quality and features in the same price range... only car off the top of my head I can think of is the Subaru car that has awd, but its a lot more $$ than the fusion. I think a hybrid version is coming soon too. Ford deserves some credit with this car.

FUSION SE V6 AWD Starting at $24,025 IMPREZA WRX SEDAN Starting at $24,995 S40 T5 AWD Starting at $28,990 Ford deserves credit for catching up but that's it. There's nothing new about this car in the automotive world. Now I realize this is classic advertising but I think we're smarter then this. If Ford wants to impress the public that understands what an apple to apple comp is then we should at least see this car stacked up against the Impreza. EDIT: Actually, what's really going to prove who has the better car is how the fusion does in rally. Nothing tests a car better then pro racing and that's the same class of car it's competing with. Will the Fusion break into the rally scene and if it does will it do well? |
If Ford expects big things from Fusion, they can't just "catch up" Camry and Accord, they have to be better.

On the bright side, Fusion AWD cost about the same as V6 Camry and Accord.
But then again, Ford's 3.0L can't really compete with 3.5L from Camry and 3.0L from Accord. |

The fusion has equaled the camry and accord in fwd, now they add the awd to one up them and you say they shouldn't be compared anymore? How can Ford add features unique to its class and then not be allowed to advertise them? :-huh |

A well thought out steering/suspension and chassis design will... As for comparing apples to apples FUSION SE V6 AWD Starting at $24,025 IMPREZA WRX SEDAN Starting at $24,995 S40 T5 AWD Starting at $28,990 You need to compare the S60 and the Liberty to get an apples to apples comparison. |
The Fusion is a great car that deserves better sales numbers then it does. It clearly outclasses anything on the road
