97 f150 freeze plugs

Can I get a quick run down of installing freeze plugs on a 4.6L?

Installing is easy- just find an old socket close to that large and tap them into place. Removing them can be another story.

where are they located, and do I have to take a bunch of stuff off to get to them?

They are set into the engine block....but you may want to seek assistance cause IMO they're not exactly a beginners job.

It's either the freeze plugs or the intake's cracked. There's water in the valley, and when I fill it up it drops the water pretty quick. Ends up dripping down from behind the block the best I can tell. I'm really hoping it's not the intake.

well generally the freeze plugs are on the side of block and generally you won't see leakage on the intake or that area if it's a freeze plug

Check the tube from the intake to the heater core on the rh rear of the intake. I've had a few corrode and leak.
