Disc brakes for an f-250?

Hey guys!
Time to pick the brain. I'm at the stage of rebuilding my brake cylinders and replacing the hoses in the front, as well as looking to replace all lines in the front end. If I can put disc brakes on it I'd rather do it now than spend a lot of money and time for nothing. Is there a front disc brake kit for a 59 f-250? I heard that the spindles, discs and everything are a direct fit from the king pin out from a '79 f-250. Is this true? does anyone have info on this. It's hard to get info in this area by reading mags because everyone has the half ton or IFS. Do I really need to put discs on it? I plan on upgrading the engine to a 351 or so.
Will this be a problem? I did'nt get to drive it a whole lot before I started tearing it apart.
Thanks for any info/insight guys.
James

I drive a few vehicals that are drums all the way around. IF I was you, I would upgrade to a newer dual master cylinder and poportioning valve. So that if a brake occurs, to won't lose all of your braking power.

Thanks for the info Chris. Do you know of one that would fit?
I mean, from the old salvage yard.
