Newalta

Any of you guys out West work for them? I've been working for them here in Ontario for about 2 months now and I've heard that they are huge out that way.

Don't work for them, but I have seen thier trucks on the road pretty frequently.
What part of ontario are you in?

taisa899 12-26-2006 01:51 PM

I'm just outside of Windsor, Ontario

I do business with them and their pump trucks. Everything looks professional and well kept.

they definitely aren't scared to spend the money for upkeep and appearance that's for sure. As a matter of fact at the beginning of October we just got 2 new vac trucks here for about $500 000 a piece

Jim, Thinking of moving west?

taisa899 12-28-2006 05:05 PM

if the opportunity comes up I will. Before the sites hire out they are supposed to put up a bulletin at all other sites. I just gotta get some things cleared up here first. My ex is being a real pain in the butt!

depending on where you are out here, the cost of living can be a real shock. Some maritimers have been moving back home because of it.
Let me know if you want any info about the area, I've travelled around Alberta quite a bit.

heard that about the cost of living. But Newalta's good for helping out. They pay all moving expenses and put you up till you can find a place of your own.

Newalta is the company that does all of our on site disposal needs. It is a drilling site. They seem to know what they are doing and have some great guys to work with. Have been using them for 2-3 years with no majors.

Im sure you could get working with them out here right away. There is lots of work, and im sure they would be short guys out this way.
