Fuel Shut Off Switch Location?
 

My father and I have searched where the Shut off switch should be according to the owner's manual and we cannot find it. Its a 96 F250 PSD CC. The owners manual said it should be located underneath the right kick panel but we are not seeing it there. Does anyone know where it should be? Pictures would always be helpful. Thanks in advance.

there isnt one on a powerstroke. the one you see in the manual is for the 460.

Basically, while my father was going down the road this morning, the truck just shut down on him. No warning, no vibrations, no anything before it shut down. As they were loading it onto the rollback, there was fuel spilling out onto the rollback. Now that it is sitting in our driveway, we are unable to locate the source of that fuel. We do not know if there is a cracked line or what. When we try cranking the truck, we don't even see fuel coming from anywhere. My father did replace the fuel filter so we do know that is not the problem. Any other advice is welcome. Thank you.

I vote cam sensor for the shut down. Did he do the filter before or after the fuel spilling? If before i also vote for fuel spilled in the valley then ran down the back of the engine when put on the roll back. If it was after the fuel filter then you probably have a leak one the filter housing or fuel pump that then ran down the back of the engine.

As long as the truck shut right down like you turned the key off the fuel leak isn't related to the shut down. if the shut down had low power and chugging involved then you fuel leak is related but from you description it sounds like it shut off like the key was turned off.

I had a similar problem recently. My truck shut down on me while driving, although I had a wierd vibration for about 10 seconds before it quit. After I got it home, I found fuel in the engine valley, which was coming from the fuel pump. I changed the fuel pump, but still couldn't get the truck started. I changed the CPS, still no luck. I eventually figured out that there is a bunch of junk in the back tank (I blew it clear with compressed air) and switched to the front tank, now it runs fine, I just still have to drop the back tank and clean it out.

I Think A Cps Issue As Well. May Wanna Check The Lid Of The Fuel Bowl To Make Sure Its Tight And Not Leaking From There.

To Get A Cheap Cps Have Your Dad Go To Ih Or Ebay. The Ford One Will Be Twice As Much.

yes it is jared's truck. I will be flying to st. louis next thursday to meeting him and seal the deal! I can hardly sleep at night waiting, its killing me! I have been truckless for over a week now but thankfully I got the plow truck yesterday so I can drive that till then if needed. Though doing the 90 mile commute with a 9' 2" v-blade and a 8'6" back blade is not ideal!

thanks f-350 I am looking forward to getting alot. Also have many plans for it!! performance and otherwise! I think an IC, dp tuner chip and bts VB will be one the list once I get any mechanical needs done to it. Need to put a windshield in it, tires and who knows what else. He hasn't had to do much brake or suspension work to it so it could be due for much of that stuff but I hope not cause then it will start to nip away at the budget for much more fun things!!

Are you getting any tach movement when you crank the engine? If not, that is your (mabey one) problem. If so we need a new theory. Was the filter change before or after the problem?
