stub shaft removal dana 50 Twin Beam ???

I got a 97 f250 HD with the Dana 50 twin beam front end. Im replacing the knuckle u-joints and i cant remove the passenger side axle from the carrier. The drivers side slid out with little effort i dont see why they would use a c-clip on one side. I had a pry bar on it and no movement at all. I guess my next option is to cut the bands on the slider boot and slip out half of the axle. Am i missing something???

As you guessed, the c-band and boot between the passenger's side stub shaft and the inner u-joint needs to be disassembled. The stub shaft will then slip off.

The inner axle is held into the front differential with a c-clip. You would need to remove the differential's cover and remove the c-clip to pull the inner axle.
