Need very quick recommendations for chapter members to meet FTE staff!
Jay and I will be attending the SEMA show this year in Las Vegas.
We have Saturday open for lunch and would like to meet with FTE users for casual lunch. It needs to be fairly close to the strip (due to time contraints we can't drive far), and relatively affordable ($10-$15 per person) so everyone can afford it. We don't know if we'll have 2 people or 50, so it has to be a place that can handle us. Prefer quick (buffet) over fancy. We'll be bringing plenty of FTE goodies, including laser cut-window decals. We need suggestions where to eat, and need them fast so we can put a forum-wide announcement up tonight. |
Well I will make some quick phone calls...
|
Now THAT's and event to draw in the croud!
Looking forward to the scheduled date for the SEMA show to see if I can swing it. Ken, when are you guys coming out to Reno? Us Nortern guys'll wine and Dine ya and fill you full of beverage of choice :-X22 . Although I'm sure the Southern folks will be very hospitable |

Where are you staying at?? On the strip or on paradise?
|
myid, since you have geographical advantage, you might want to make a recommendation to Ken. Between you and 05xlt (chapter leader), you guys can probably offer some good intel.
|
Yeah, I will tell them, but I would like to know where they are staying due to the fact that when SEMA is in town Vegas is really busy, really , really busy, so If they are staying on the strip we could just go there or one down there- most of all of the Strip properties have outstanding buffets- *most* so instead of driving- they can just walk, hopefully just downstairs...

I've stayed on the strip before, and although the location is great the rooms really aren't anything to write home about.
Last year because we booked late we ended up staying at the Sun Coast and the rooms were superb. Huge, nicely furnished and the bathrooms are big enough to run a marathon in. Only downside is Mama's Family Vicki Lawrence is the headliner! After seeing the great rooms you can get off-strip we decided to go with the Suncoast again this year. We have a rental car, but want to stay near the strip because we have other business activities planned that morning and evening. Parking isn't an issue, we use valet (fast and relatively cheap). |
Well, any big name Casino would, and should, be good, and not be too expensive (hopefully meeting the $15 or so range). Probably around south strip would be the best though, MGM, Mandaly Bay, NY NY, Venetian, TI, Mirage, Bellagio, Paris, Monte Carlo,...

What are the exact dates of the show? Will you need any help with any of your plans? As far as food, are you looking at dinner or lunch? What kind of budget are you guys looking at as far as food? How did you get into the show? Please let me know 'cause I would, and I'm sure Myidsucks, like to attend if possible. Let me know if you need anything else?
