This is new for 2007 model year and only available on the Harley model.

That is probably because there is a section dedicated to the special builds (Lightning, Harley-Davidson F-150 & Roush F-150 ).

I am surprised they didn't do it sooner. My in-laws 2001 expedition is all wheel drive, aren't they the same as the f150? There shift on the fly has an AWD,4x4H and 4x4L. I thought I even seen one that had a 4th option for 2WD. I may be wrong on that.

The AWD Harley F150 came out in 2006.

The AWD Harley came out in 2006 . Its the same feature that used to be used in the first gen Expedition. The truck operates in 2wd until the computer senses the front tires slipping , it then applies power to the front as needed.

Yep she burns a little more fuel but not all that bad. By the way it doesn't come with 4 low, it only come with 4 high, so you only have the option for AWD and 4 High.

I actually had mine off-roading hunting and it road way smoother over washboard then an 04 f150 crew 2 wheel drive. The 22” aluminum mags and Pirellis low profiles mad for a bit of a slick ride in the mud but all and all I was extremely impressed!
