C-6 Line Pressure?

Where do I check the line pressure on a C-6? I'd like to add that to a computer hook-up on a pulling truck to monitor pressure during a pull.

Thanks,

Ed

you could tap in anywhere on the two lines.. the line coming out of the tranny nearest to the engine is your pressure line which goes out to your cooler.. the other line is your return, both these lines are on the passenger side of your vechile, your best bet would to be to connect into the pressure as you well get the best reading, if your pulling with it i would put in an aux cooler if one is not already present and also wire in an electric temp gauge for your tranny to monitor you tempature. Both are important but usually when your pressure is low your tranny won't work properly but if she heats up then you'll burn out your clutches.. good luck

The cooler lines don't have line pressure. They have cooler pressure, which is HUNDREDS of PSI below line pressure, at least some of the time.

There is a port on the trans that will have the word LINE cast in the case near the port. That's the place to check line pressure. I'm not sure on the C6, but most other transmissions have it on the driver's side, near the front, just above the pan.

You should not hook a permanent gage to the test port.

my mistake, yeah cooler lines are low pressure. The pressure test port is as casey said on the right hand side about an inch before the shift linkage.

The shift linkage is on the left side....
