Want more power!

Installed the K&N Series 77 CAI on my 06 Super Crew FX 4x4 LB F-150 5.4 motor, but now I want more power. Dont know what to do next exhaust, chip, gearing ??? Would like to get some reply's on different mod's for my truck...

I wish it was as easy as my 67 Mustang GTA Fastback w/390 HP...

Thx

A tuner will make the most notable difference (look at different ones, but most recommend the Edge Evolution, click here), and you'll see improvement with a new exhaust setup as well. For the exhaust do a search because setups and brands vary widely.

Is the edge evolution programmer better than the Hypertech Power Programmer III?

i just got my 'edge' and i love it! i also have an 'sct' and the problem with hthat tuner is ,it takes to long to program, 8 to 12 minutes just to change something. goodluck!

+1

Best $400 bucks you'll spend on that truck.

A tuner will be one of the best bang for the buck mods you can do. A lot of people prefer the EDGE, but personally I like the custom tuned Xcalibrator 2s, that SCT makes.

If you get a chance, you should take a look at my site, the link here will lay out any mods you can do on YOUR own truck, ive organized it so it is pretty easy to use!

For those of you who swear on the edge, can you also get custom tunes put in. I'm tossing up between the Xcal and the edge. I read about a buildup on a 4.6 that after they put a cold air and exhaust they had to richen the fuel mixture for optimum performance (They used the Xcal). I don't know if it had to be done, but maybe you guys know?

Most air intakes on these trucks run a little lean, and could benefit from a tune that can adapt to it. As far as i know, the EDGE is not capable of making the changes necessary for an intake. It will still probably work, but the Xcal will allow you to make it richer to compensate. Our 4.6 gained nearly 50 rwtq on a dyno with one of our Xcal tuners.
