Caliper slide pins
 

The past 2 weeks, I noticed the truck pulling to the right when braking. When I got the truck in January, the right caliper was locked up and I new it was just a matter of time when the left would go . Well it finally did, only this time it was the slide pins. The bottom one would not budge. All is well again now, put a rebuilt caliper in, bought some new pads while I was at it. :-D

could this cause a squaky brake (one corner) when applying moderate pedal pressure? when you are barely touching it there is no squeal and when you are laying on the pedal there is no squeal. when changing brakes on the dually, when we took the LR caliper off it did not slide in and out as easily as the RR caliper and it barely moved. we didnt fix the calipers with the slide pins as we were pressed for time saturday evening. i may have to take this back apart and do it right?

Fords lube for the pins is called XG3 but I think any silicone dielectric grease will work fine. Check the boots mine were really dried out. You can also put to much grease in, you just was a liberal coating.
