I have DSL at the house and we're in one of those areas where it just barely reaches. The service is fine until a storm cloud comes around...then it's less reliable than our DirecTV service.

I miss my cable Internet.:'(

That's what we're going to put into the new house, whenever we get around to building it. I guess I better do the drawings first though.

The DirecTV is great until the heavy thunderstoms come through. Then you lose reception until it clears out. You also have to keep the trees trimmed near the dish. We had one taken down last year and until they did, the reception went out every time the wind was blowing South.
At the same time, when everyone in the neighborhood lost cable for a week because of the ice storm, we had reception (just had to keep the generator running). |
