Someone was telling me today that the HPOP changed for the better in 01 on the 7.3. Anyone know the differences between the 01+ and the 99-00?

i believe the HPOP was revised in early 2000. in the later 2000 trucks, they had better flow. my guess is they changed the swash plate degree some, and possibly larger pistons to displace more oil.

15 degree to a 17 degree.

so if mine quits, would the revised one work on my early 2000?

IIRC, it is the same one just that one has a higher degree of swash than the other. Also it has been used as a "mod" for the older trucks
