cigarette lighter
I need a wirieing diagram for the cigarette lighter/ courtesy lights. I have no voltage at my green/yellow stripe wires....... I know you have one Mil1ion:)
|
For the Lighter or light for the courtesy light ?
I assume from the color of wires.... the light. It comes from across the dash originating behind the cluster in a brown connector. http://www.clubfte.com/users/mil1ion...ingharness.JPG |
I'm more concerned about the lighter. But I thought they get their power from the same place.....right???
|
According to my diagram you are correct.
Check your fuse in your fuse panel, see if it's blown, and check to see if you are getting power at the fuse panel. With the fuse blown in the panel, none of the courtesy lights, cigar lighter, etc.. will work. :) Also according to the diagram I have, the cigar lighter wires pigtails off of the glove box lamp harness extention. |

This is what I got right now.....
My dome light, glove box light, and lighter does not work... However, the auxilary 3 connector (I think it's for courtesy lights) on the drivers side, has 12V when the ingition is on. |
Are you talking where the courtesy light switch is in the door jamb? where it plugs into? Or another plug?
The Green/yellow stripe wire should be hot all the time, even with the ignition off. Check for power on both sides of each fuse with a lighted wire tester. If you have power to one side of the fuse but not the other, the fuse is blown (it may not look blown by looking at it) and should be replaced. |
If the fuse is blown the usual culprit is a door light switch.
81F is correct, Some fuses appear okay but they become un-soldered inside at an end. |
bad wire
I had corosion at the back of the fusebox.
