Body trim

Howdy all!

Today I made a trip to a local junk yard and found some good trim for my pickup. What I found is the side trim that goes in the indent. It is not the kind with the black rubber strip but rather is one inch to inch and a quarter or so in width. Its a complete set with no damage.

Is there a specific name for this trim? Also, the plastic fasteners have a part number of D3TB-992. I know I'll need some more, so do you all know where I can get some? I looked at my two catalogs (LMC and DC) and these were not listed. I did see the ones for the wider racetrack trim.

I'll try to post some picts in my gallery....

Those fasteners can be purchased at any parts house that has H.E.L.P. Section of parts.

The chrome trim doesn't have a fancy name ....sorry.

That trim is more comon on basic tu-tone Custom models.

My father's '76 had that trim, with basic white on yellow tu-tone. It was a custom. It also had drip rail mouldings around the door drip rails, tailight and tailgate trim.

If you have trouble finding fasteners in your area, a body shop may have what you need, or be able to order you some.

Awesome! Thanks for the tip. I'm gonna check in with a few to see if I can get new fasteners. Funny you mention tu-tone. I was thinking of going from white to white and something else.

thanks.

If your parts house has a "Geno" catalog, most of the trim clips are available through them
