right on, mines a 74. and i have two others that are 69's. in pieces. lol

I looked at your pics. Where were you? Your truck doesn't look lifted. Do you get stuck much? Mine's mostly stock. I get around just fine with no lift. I get alot of flack from other truck people because it isn't lifted. This is my daily transportation too, so, no lift.

its in the process of getting a duff 3.5 lift as we speak. and power disc brakes. i got stuck a couple times, but that little sidewinder winch works pretty good. slow, but good. hehe

the trail is called B29. or cable hill. hatchers pass. i wouldnt worry too much about the flak, broncos are cool no matter what size they are.

Sorry I didn't get back to the site. I got a little side tracked. I just got a little bronco II and will be getting a scout. I am suddenly in toy heaven. Lots of plans. Just finished replacing the fried electric fan on the big bronco with dual fans. I got all busy with my toys and forgot the computer. The bronco II will be my off road toy so I quit abusing my big bronco. Hatcher Pass is a great place to play. I want to go camping up there. I just have to convince the rest of the family to go. Most of the off road play I do is at Jim Creek. I haven't gotten stuck yet, but the day will come. Submarining and jumping the truck on sand dunes is a lot of fun.

I love the body style of the 78-79 bronco. I wish I had one.

So many people I've talked to about going off road with my bronco insist that it can't be done without a lift, bigger tires, and a winch. I've never had a problem. My truck has been very reliable and I have taken it through some very deep water and mud.
I can't change my truck too much because my special needs kids wouldn't be able to get in and out. Having a fold forward seat is challenging enough for them.

I have a 73 Bronco that I salvaged. I am looking for a front disc break upgrade if anyone has anything.

Wanted in usable condition.... 76-86 Ford Bronco/F-150 or 76-77 Bronco Front disc brake parts to upgrade my 73 Bronco. I need 6 bold disc barake spindle, rotor, caliper mounting plate and caliper usually found on 5 lug D-44 axles. I am driving around the state this summer and will pick up the entire axle if you need it removed from your yard. I just need to get my Bronco running again.

Thanks please PM

ill keep my eyes peeled for some brake parts. you will have better luck finding f-150 parts, than bronco parts. another thing to think about, when you change your knuckle, you are gonna have to address why the early bronco tie rod ends dont fit anymore.

hosemandc 02-05-2007 06:08 PM

Thanks,

I might try to mod my original knuckle and put the parts on it. I hear it is just a little bit of grinding.

B-one 02-05-2007 09:19 PM

from what i saw, the spindle bolt pattern is totally different. its better to use the f-150 stuff anyways. its beefier.

hosemandc 02-05-2007 09:30 PM

Right now I will take anything I can get. I can't afford to pay $700-$1000 for new brakes. I just want to go wheeling again. I have to replace the master cyl too. I got the breaks wet...Kodiak always wet and had to use lots of pedal pressure to stop so everything kind of gave up on me. Thank god for the old emergency brake.

did you get this figured out?
