old diesel can it be used?
we have about 2000 gallon of old diesel(about 35yrs old) was wondering how much of a process it would be to make that usable, or if it would be more trouble than worth. probably has a significant amount of water and debris in it also. but at 3.00 a gallon an soon possibly 5.00 might be worth some trouble.

I am in pretty much the same position. I recently came into possession of 750 gal of #2. I have drawn a couple of samples and it looks nasty. I can treat for algae and filter it for considerably less than the current cost of diesel but I would like to get it tested before filling my truck.
Does any one know where I can send a fuel sample to find out if it is useable? Breeze12 Diesel is somewhat hydroscopic, attracts water, that causes algae to grow so you will have to run it thru a seperation process and treat for algae and filter well. I would then have a sample tested before using |
