Rear mounted Grader Blade on Pickup/SUV
Anyone know of a way to use a 3 point Hitch grader Blade on the rear of an SUV or Pickup?? I want to grade my driveway and clear snow.
Thanks, Richard |
To All- I made my own and it works fine. I now will make them and sell them on ebay.

You might want to check what is available at www.northerntools.com. Most farm stores sell cheap adapters for 2" receivers for about $50.00.

That and the more expensive ones northern sells. Just go to northern and type in "3 point" and sort from more expensive to least. |

The adapter I want is mount a 3 point hitch grader blade on the rear of my Excursion. I have since made one - use it on my driveway and now offer similar units on ebay. Please look at ebay #7612644241 and you will better understand what I talking about. |
That looks cool, but how well does it work? I think it'd be a PITA to get in and out everytime you wanted to raise and lower the blade

Maybe you could make a short video of it in use. I have a tractor but it looks like it would work. Hats off to you for actually engineering something you needed.

Hey, very cool! That last picture explains it the best, I hope you sell a ton of them :-)
I understand the manual part, if you are grading a long driveway, you only need to get out once, when you want to turn around, so no real need for a power up/down. |
