1999 Ranger Help

1. Dome light stays on for 6 seconds to a minute after door is closed. Tried the wd40 with the panels on. What is the best approach?

2. Need to replace seats. Found one from a 03 Ranger. Harness has 4 pins instead of the 2 pins on my 99. My haynes doesn't show a diagram. What is the best approach without causing any safety problems. My daughter uses the vehicle.

3. Where is the best place to find 14x5.5j ford wheels at a reasonable price?

Thanks for the help

Welcome to FTE!

Well on #1 I'm not so sure anything is wrong, it's normal for the dome light to stay on for a while, then time out, UNLESS it's staying on after you insert the ignition key & start the engine, in which case it should go off right away.

On #2 I'm not sure what to tell you about the seat electrical connector.
Maybe you could just swap the sensor from the old seat to the new one.

On #3 why not try your local salvage yard, wheels there should be about as reasonable as you could get. Just check it out real good to make sure it isn't bent or otherwise damaged, like on the surface the tire's bead seals on, or around where the lug nuts seat, maybe you could even find a spare, with a tire already mounted!!!!

Dome light seems normal, if it's going off after a minute. At first, it was annoying to me. I'd always watch to see it so out. But over time, it's kind of conveinet.

I assume you are talking about power seats. The tracks should be the same on your current seats, so you could just swap over the old seat tracks to the new seats.

Junkyard will have the wheels. Most around here just about give the steel ones away, the have to remove them before crushing the cars anyway, along with the gas tanks. MAKE SURE the center opening is large enough for your axle and hubs. I got a set and they wouldn't fit over the center hub, the hole was too small. Those came off a '70 Mustang, hopefully you won't find any of those in the junkyard.
