6.0 PSD Fuel Filters

OK since I am not the only 6.0 guy here anymore I will share a little wisdom that will help on your wallet....

They say you should change fuel filters every 15K on these rigs. I am told that Ford wants $75.00 - $85.00 depending on where you go. I did price them at Advanced Auto (just happened to be in the area when I thought about it) and it was around $80.00. I have since found out, that if you go to an International Dealer (I went to Cornhusker International on 108th & L St.) you can get the kit for $35.04 (with tax) out the door and cheaper if you know someone with an account. This is for the kit which is 2 filters (1 with aquablock around it) and 2 O rings. Ford buys the VT365 motor from International but uses a fuel filter system from a VT275 (4.5L).

Racor #: 32442C93
International #: 1847170C92

Also, here is the procedure to change the filters. You will need a 36mm socket (which you can also use for the oil filter) for the bottom filter. I didn't have one so I still need to pick one up and change the bottom filter.

Hope this helps you guys. :-X22

No problem. I just like saving $40.00 per change.

I hear that!
