oil filters

Is an adpter plate for a 292 to mount a remote oil filter available and from who?

Yes. You can order it from a number of places, including AutoZone. Mine came from there, it is a Hayes or Haynes(?). Price was $48 and it uses the Ford oil filter. You can also get them through Speedway, and probably Summit. The unit from Auto Zone came with multiple threaded adaptors to use with several different motor manufacturers. Hoses have to be ordered separately.

Here is a pic of the part of the remote unit for the spin on.

The bypass adaptor of this unit, that attaches to the block, can be set up with either the hoses coming straight out from the block, or roughly parallel to the block.

the filter mount is no big deal, the plate for the side of the block was my concern, thanks for the info. 46y, that is a very sweet looking engine bay. thanks again,Tom,

Tom, a correction on the name of the universal remote. It was a Hayden.
