2.3l, 20,000 RPM, 600HP in my Ranger

OMG, I want this in my Ranger. :-D

A 2.3l 4 Cly engine that can do 20,000 RPM, and will produce 600 HP. Talk about a Sleeper, imagine the look on peoples faces when your Ranger blows away their rice burner Street Tuner.

And the best part, it is made by Ford.

The engine in the video is totally different from the engine they are talking about in the link. The engine in the video is from a Formula 1 racing car, most likely is a V10 (or maybe V8), and so has no real problem revving to 20,000RPM.

The engine in the link is the 2.3L 4 cylinder and probably only rev's up to around 7,000RPM. There are quite a few Sierra Cosworths in the UK (where I used to live) but the RS500 is a pretty rare and hard to find vehicle, especially in good condition. See http://www.fasterfords.dk/rs500/rs500_history.htm

Owwwwwwwwwwwww Me Bad. (digs toe in dirt looking for rock to hide under)

I should have know it was to good to be true. Rats! and I had my Ranger all planned out. Still, the one in the article would be nice. 600HP in a Ranger would scream.

 Let me know when you rev your 2.3 to 20K RPM's I'll make sure I am at least a 1000mi away. Just for safty reasons.

jk.

Lmao at PowerDog.

Now, I must say, when I saw this thread, I was extrememly intrigued, but after reading ab the Cosworth modifications, I'm even more interested. I would love to put just a turbocharged Cosworth motor into my truck. But, I am an 18 year old college student armed with only my dreams, my trusty 2.5L/5spd Ranger, and my scholarship, haha.
