2004 2005 Superduty color
 

In 2004 or 2005 Ford had a Rusty Orange color on there f250 Sd. Do any of you folks know what the name of this color is. I love it and am considering painting an older truck this color.

looking in a 2005 brochere, the only colors i see that come close to matching what you described are dark copper metallic and dark toreador red metallic. can't say anything for 2004.

looked it up online maybe I'm wrong it may not be the copper....it appeared more orange..or like a rusty color. It may be 99 even....I wish I could remember...do you have the brochure for 99?

The newish copper color looks orangey under strong sun light.

I am 99% sure the color you are talking about is "Bright Amber". It was offered in 99-00, and maybe 01. It was initially a Lariat-only color but it was allowed on XLT's its last year.

Is this the color you're talking about? It appears copper, orange, and red depending on lighting conditions. Paint codes read: BM & BN, I did't know what Ford called them. Bright Amber, huh? I think I'll keep calling it copper metallic.:rolleyes: Not very popular around here. Mine sat a dealer for 8 months because of the color. I happened to like it and got a better deal for it sittin' soooo long.:-D
