Dunno about heating oil, but road-tax #2 diesel is $2.69 down the street. I could pay off a vegetable oil conversion kit in about 6 months...

Man how I wish I had a wood burnig stove. Just an old "Franklin Stove" off in a corner would do nicely.

I've got more wood than I know what to do with, but nothing to use it indoors in.

And wood is pretty much free around here...

My dad has a pretty cheap heatng bill. He has electric base board heaters and a fire place. When its just him and his wife, he can close all the rooms off and turn there heaters off and only worry about the rooms in use. . .and the fireplace takes care of the living/dining room.

How hard is it to build a fire place? Built on an exterior wall?
