Propane
Ok i was lookin on the Bullydog website, and i came across one of their propane injecton kits. It says it is grat for the engine and works great on any turbocharged engine, but would it work on a non turbo diesel?? Also what are some of the precautions needed when using it, can it damage the engine?

From what I've read, adding a little propane will improve the power output and fuel economy of any diesel engine. I think most of the systems available now are recommended for turbo diesels because they use hobbs switches (boost activated) to turn them on.

Adding propane on a natural aspirated motor will give you a small power gain.
But this is adding more fuel when you really need more air to burn the fuel. Makes a big difference with a turbo motor. I think the power shot is to expensive for the amount of gain you would get on a non turbo motor. |

Propane
I have a 1977 F350 and it runs on propane. It runs great, and clean I pull a 35ft 5th wheel with it for the last 15 years. I have a 460 engine and it will last me rest of my life. Jim

I do not believe you can run a diesel on pure propane there is no ignition source and the compression ratio is to high

My 77 Ford F350 XLT Campers Special-Propane
My truck isn't diesel It's gas or propane and run like a champ.
