What C4 Speedo Gear Type?

Hi all,
A little background:
1) I put a '76 Granada 302 & C4 combo in my '34 truck.
2) I forgot to keep the C4 speedometer gear & clip that goes into the transmission, and have since scrapped the Granada donor car.

My local Ford dealer doesn't have any parts books to identify the type of gear that belongs in this tranny. I'm running a Stewart Warner electronic programmable speedo, and will be able to adjust the speedo for the yet to be determined tire size.
I've read some posts that talk about changing the gear teeth to adjust the speedometer. So what did you all use, and where did you buy the speedo gear and the clip that holds the gear to the cable?
Thanks,

Bob

Hi
I have a set of old Ford parts books from the late 60s/early 70s. Ill take a look to see if I can find anything. What ratio rear are you running and tire size?

I have been doing a similar search for my 1967 car with a C6 trans. It looks from the books I need an adapter to get my speedo to read correctly. Does any one have an unused one floating around??

Hey Wayne,

I'm running a Stewart Warner programmable speedo, so I'll be able to make any adjustments for MPH accuracy. Right now I'm running a 2.70 gear set in the 8" rear. I havent heard of an adapter from Ford, but Stewart Warner makes an adapter for a C4 to the electronic sender they make.

If you look in the Ford Racing Performance Parts Catalog there is a table of speedometer gears with part numbers, they list the number of teeth and what should be used in what (T5 as opposed to AOD/C4/C5 etc)

Far as the clips go... I dunno
