rv cams - will they ruin my gas mileage?

Im looking for a little more grunt on camping/offroading trips and commuting to work but since i like to drive way out into the bush i like to keep my mileage. Will a rv cam screw with my mileage?

I'm presently getting 15.5 Fwy. w/ mine, though I've also a rather heavily modified engine.
