Plus, what would cause my engine oil to smell real strong of gas??? and why does my oil pressure gauge read 100lbs is this the kind of out put these high volume pumps make??/ Thanks and Go PiTT!!!!!

The gassy-smelling oil is due to the richness of the carb -- unburned gasoline is draining into your oilpan, thinning your oil, etc.

any idea how to adjust this carb autolite 2150 as to make it less rich

Most of the time that problem is caused by a blown power valve. It can happen even with a new valve if the engine backfires thru the carb even once. It is a poor design. Holley used the same system and they have a check valve now that prevents blowing the valve. I have no idea if the Holley retrofit valve could be used on a Motorcraft carb.
Otherwise check your float settings. |
