What I'd like to see from Ford

I wouldn't mind seeing another diesel Ranger (I think it was the Ranger anyhow :) ) like I saw, I belive it was 84-87 that they were being built with diesels in them, correct me if I'm wrong. But I think that you can't get a diesel in anything smaller than a 250, right?

I know

I know, I just thought that it'd be nice to see that again. But we're too dependant on the oil in the middle east to make the big switch to Biodiesel and the promotion of "good" diesel.:-X15

I think it would be sweet to have diesel as an option for every Ford vehicle.

I'd second that thought, and not just Fords but all makes.

BUT!!! More importantly we need better diesel fuel distribution and more reasonable pricing here in the go 'ol US of A. In most parts of the world diesel sells for about 2/3 the price of gasoline and is available everywhere. There are still many places you will end up that won't have diesel and cars don't have the option of additional tanks like pickups do.

This country could do well to watch (and follow) the diesel developments in Europe where fuel economy has been important for decades. They have diesel cars there that are equal or better in fuel mileage than the hybrids sold here. In addition they are quiet and powerfull.

Make your own diesel ranger!

International/CASE makes a 4.5 ltr ag diesel that apparently fits into rangers
