Snow

How are you guys doing on the snow? It has been snowing down here in Florence all day, finally starting to stick.

This thread will self destruct at the next mention of that four letter word according to the chapter bylaws of the Ohio shapter.

this is turning out to be a very long and cold winter, <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZN' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/28/28_4_5.gif' alt='Shoveling Snow' border=0></a> I have done way too much of this already.

How much weight do you guys recomend for putting in the bed. I've got about 320 lbs right now. I think I need about 200 more lbs. Or do you guys even put any weight in the bed. I've heard it helps, and I've heard it doesn't matter.

Yea,try driving without abed at all.I live along Lake Erie.I started restoring my truck last spring.Haven't got the bed back on yet.Hopefully in the next couple of weeks. Can't even hardly get around in my driveway.Man it's awfull!!!

It all depends on what you are running,4x4 or 2wd, and the type of tires you have. I have all my tools in the back which go about 800 lbs. and I hardly ever get to go in 4 wheel drive. My son has a mustang and we put about 200 lbs. in it. And he has a small ranger that we put 350 lbs. in and that also goes good. So I would start out alittle heavy and see how it feels. If it feels good try taking some out. I use salt so if I do get stuck I can use it to get out. It has only happened once and I was glad it was salt, alot of ice to deal with, and I got right out. On mine i just throw 200 or so in there , but if we get some really deep snow i just shovel some snow in the bed for more weight along with a couple 50# bags of salt, like Ervin said to deal with the ice.

Sounds good, I'll have to pick up some salt bags.
