97 F250 LD auxiliary reverse light wiring

he guys new to this site. I'm going to be installing flood lights on the back of my truck..i use a back plow on this truck and can't see the darn thing at night. i want them to come on when i put the truck in reverse.now i got a relay all wired up with fuse and 3 funtion switch ( so if i want them on all the time i can keep them on or just come on when i'm in reverse) i'm looking for the reverse light circuit to tap into. i don't wanna go back to the tail light.i would rather get it out of the cab or off the trans (AUTO TRANS) any help would be great and the wire colors to look for i have no clue so if you know which wire it is please let me know

Look where the lever comes out of the tranny on the driver's side. See if there is a plastic switch bolted behind the lever onto the side of the tranny. If there is, it may have 4 wires going to it.

2 of the wires will be red/blue. This is the neutral start circuit for the starter. The other 2 wires are the back-up lights. I don't have my wiring diagrams, but going from memory, one of them is a black/pink wire. One of them will be the power in, and the other will be the power out to the lights.
