yeah dodges are firmly in the 9s and 10s for street trucks and the 2 fastest diesel dragsters are done to like 6 7 8 somewhere in there as for the duracrap remark the 6.0 is not perfect and i do not own one so i think i can say that when all i ever change is an o ring now and then or a glow plug at 155000 while its not long before chevy is replacing the injectors or melted heads well i guess at that point its a whole new engine

Just how many Dodges are firmly in the 9's and who are they ??

I know a guy who has an 01 with the 24 valve cummins and his runs high 12's in the quarter. I mean we're talkin about a 3/4 ton cab and a half truck here. That might not seem like a lot, but for a big truck with a heavy engine, thats crankin.

Curious - do you have any evidence of this occuring? (particulary the "melted heads")

http://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141123&highlight=duramax+heads also ive heard of others w/ melted heads and some bent rods injectors has been common around here and there are threads in the same site about it too its mostly dodge guys w/ some fords and chevys and most have freinds that have had problems maybe to far thro the grape vine for some but i think they are true since there was no reason to lie

one last thing in testing the dmax chevy melted the first truck down cause of pulling to hard

also in this site are the dodge boys in the nines and i will add tens to that too since its a little more common but ill let ya'll look over the site and find them

According to the DHRA the Worlds Quickest 4x4 Diesel Pickup is Darren Morrison at 10.509 but he also ran a 10.32 but was unable to back it up as the motor let go at the 1000' mark.

That puts our Stroked Lightning truck only a second behind the dodges in DHRA events.
