can i fit 35s on a stock 84 bronco or maby 38s with 2-3 inches of lift

Fit without rubbing...no. You'll need at least 4" to clear 35's, and will probably need some trimming on the bumper and/or fender well. A 6" lift will clear the 35's pretty easily, but you'll probably alo need a 3" body lift and fender cutouts to clear 38's

hmm cause i read i some magasine were they fit 35 on 1with slight rubbing by taking out the plastic fenderwell i think it was petersons mag

With some serious fender and bumper cutting, perchance.

And certainly NOT with the OEM wheel backspacing! RUB won't be the word for it when the shoulders of those tires begin to slap the radius arms! And if you change backspacing on the wheels its just gonna make those tires snag on the fenders even more when they don't sit as far under the truck as they did in OEM form.

I fit 36" tires on my 79, just to see if they would fit. The 78 79 Bronco's have more cleariness than 80+and it looked like if I would hit a speed bump the tires would ripe my fenders off(this is with after market backspacing). I'm now running a 6" lift with 36s and no rubbing.
As said earlyer to clear 38s put a 6" lift, 2or3"body, and cut out flaires.
Or custom lift.

There was a tech article in 4wheel& offroad or 4wheeler i don't recall which one, I will have to do some looking in my stacks of mags. But if i recall the article correctly they fit 35" tires on a stock bronco with some trimming to the fenders. When I find the mag it is in I will post back

I have all of those magazines from the past two years for both of those mag. and I remember seeing the chart more than once, and I'm pretty sure the biggest tire shown for stock was 33.

I had 33"s on my 89' with no lift and there was not much room left. I don't see 35s fitting.

I have a question:
Won't "twisting" the front end in say like a big ditch risk breaking your front axle with tires over 33" on a stock front end? Seems like I read that somewhere..

No, I don't think you could break the axle, but maybe the shafts, u joint, or a hub.
