Oil advice for 6.0

I just had my second oil change done and am planning on the next time going to synthetic. Considering our harsh climate, what brand/weight has worked best for you guys?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

I run Mobil Delvac 1 synthetic (5W-40)and have had good luck with it in my 7.3's.

You can read about it HERE.

I've been running Delo 400 Synthetic 5-40 in my Bobcat loader and am going to put it in my truck also next change. I have had good luck with the Delo 400 dino oils in my 6.0 and want the synthetic for the cold starts. Rotella T Synthetic 5-40 looks like a good price, but never have used it.

Is 2DLAKE your license plate? I thought I saw it on a Chevy or GMC truck, did you buy a Ford?

Used to have a Hemi Dodge 1500 till July.
Needed something to haul around the new skid steer as well as a 17,000# boat to/from Valdez each spring/fall.
Test drove the Dodge 2500, then test drove the 250SD....no comparison. Power wise it's a wash, but the interior room and the towing features are what sold me.

Been running Rotella T 5W-30 Syn for the past 30,000 with no problems. I also use syn grease for the fitting, the few that they are.

Glad to have another Ford truck owner here, especially another Fairbanksan.

Off-topic, but what kind of skid steer did you buy? I have a Bobcat 773T (now S185).

Went with the Takeuchi 130. Man have they come a long way form the Case I learned on 20 years ago!

Got the light bar from RandyEllisdesigns.com in the mail yesterday. Installed it during lunch, man is that a quality product, and only sticks out 4" from the front bumper so I can get her in the garage. Now just waiting for my KC 800's to come in from Power and Transmission and I'll be all set for winter. I'll wire them through the upfitter switches, so that'll be my next project trying to figure those things out. Lots of good posts on here to help, that's for sure.
