4bbl Intake manifold
Once again I need some advice from the experts here.
I’m finally getting ready to put my 292 back together. All the parts are back from the machine shop, the ecz-g heads are ready to go, etc… Then I realized I’d forgotten the intake manifold. I cannot locate one of those ecz-b 4bbl intake to use a newer holley carb. I’ve given up... A new aluminum one will not fit my budget. But on the other hand, I’ve located several ecz-a intakes, with the holley "teapot" bolt pattern. If I make an adapter plate, would one of these work with my 292 and the holley? If so, does anybody know how to make one of those plates? Thanks in advance. Best regards, Lucas (Lobo) |
to bad!!! theres a manifold on Ebay, but they won't ship to S. America...I think they made adapters at one time, possibaly you could find a used one......good luck

Thank you very much.
Well, if an adapter can be made, then I think I'll go ahead and get the older manifold. As soon as I have some news of how everything worked out, I'll post here. Thanks again!! Best regards, Lucas (Lobo) |
Another question...
Hello again,
I’ve just got back from Texas and brought with me an early style intake and adapter. The holley I have fits perfectly. Now I have another question. My ECZ-G heads are from a 1961 engine. The intake is an ECB-9425-B, should be from a 1955 T-Bird, according to John Mummert’s web site. I’ve just remembered about those port size differences on the 57 and later heads. Will this manifold work with these heads that I have? I was dumb enough to forget about these differences… And carried a lot of weight for nothing if it doesn’t fit… :( Thank you very much once again, Lucas (Lobo) |
everything will fit.
