crap. I live in MA.
Ok, now it will be 46 state legal for emissions. :-D |
Damn,my new 6.4 rear main seal is leaking.Oh boy so is my Tturbo.
Oh im also having a hard time getting it to start,i think it might be the glow plugs or mayby those damn spark plugs that ford tech installed. hehehehehe:-D |
Ok, this has gone on long enough. I'm here to set the record straight, I have a friend whose neighbor's brother in law knew a guy who has a cousin that has a friend whose brother went to school with a guy that works at Ford developing super secret stuff. So I guess you could say that I'm "in the know". And he told him that the 6.4 is just talk to cover up the real engine that Ford is going to use in the new trucks.
Here is a link to it.(Oh, and don't tell anyone where you heard this.) http://www.bath.ac.uk/~ccsshb/12cyl/ He even mentioned something about putting it in a F-150 in 2008 and even in the Ranger in 2009. Tim:-wink |
I think i'll just wait and buy a wreck sd with a 6.4, drop it in the ranger......in the bed...pull the 3.0 and turn the engine bay into a trunk...then i can sell the idea to ford and they can call it a 6.4 ranger edge extreme.....yeah.......:-X15...I really need a SD diesel to fill this large void of happiness in my life

you think companies will come out with performance enhancing chips/tuners for that thing!

Of course they will, because 108,920 hp and 5,608,312 lb/ft torque just won't quite cut it these days. The only problem with that I can see with this engine is they are going to have to make the the truck just a little bit bigger to fit the engine into it. Tim:-wink |

I hope that 525/900 cummings will be as reputable as the powerstoke and the cummins diesels. Ford will really need to do drivetrain upgrades with that amount of power.
How about Dana 70s and 80s front to rear. Six speed auto, seven speed manual. Twin stick transfer case with two reduction selection and 4.56s selectable locking diffs. |
I hope the 6.4 isn't too much quieter than the 6.0. Needs to maintain some diesel integrity.
|
Hope you all dont mind me jumpin in here...
My 6.4 is consuming 4 quarts in 500 miles but there is no oil on the ground!!! Where can it all be going?? Damn, I wish I had not sold my 7.3 now.:( :-X14 |
Yeah I know what you mean, I really wish I had my 6.9 back :-D
Ryan |
No you don't.
|
okay hold on a second here so was this BS or not?? about the truck not being legal in CA?
|
This entire thread is for that purpose. To throw a little male bovine excrement around and have a little fun.
But, to your question. Soon, all trucks will not be allowed in California...:-X10 Heard it on bad authority with my own two ears. Well, one really good ear. |
