Pic of the 1957 Supercharged 312?

Oh for god's sake, somebody stop me. I just bought an original rebuilt McCulloch / kaiser Supercharger with 312 brackets, tophat...

I don't even have a running engine to put it on. You'de think I'll never learn that parts you don't use arent that great a deal. Man if I ever get this engine together, it should be a peice of history.

Does anyone know if it can be adapted to the 312 I'm building for my 55 F10 with Ramshorns?

Anyone have any pictures of the installed assembly... I've never seen one.

I read that one of the early Thunderbirds had this supercharger on 3 Deuces? Is that possible.

Thx. David

I don't have the info you need but thought you might be interested in this auction for a shop manual for your supercharger.

Well the link isnt working so look up item number 8002370198

only 312 I've seen with a supercharger was on a single four barrel, and I think it was a Paxton?? but I'm old and the memory is going...theres a picture, not very good, in the June issue of Mustangs and Fords magazine

There are a few pictures out there. Try the Mcculloch supercharger web site vs57.com for pics and tech info and ford-y-block.com for pics and parts.

Reason eclipses greed!

I started looking at the technical requirements for installing that supercharger, Yeowee! It was just over my head. :-X16

I backed out of the auction to the last highest bidder and paid the difference.

I guess I gonna stay with vintage speed, Three Deuces.

Thx. for the responses, David

I think I was bidding on the same item. Ebay had 2 y-block superchagers on auction and I was at work when they closed. the one you had won happen to close when my boss was standing there next to me so I couldn't bid at the last moment.
I also have a tri-power set up that I had planned on using. I just need a non-vacuum distributor to go with it.

Man you could have save me the trouble!

I really freaked when I was reading the Tech articles on setup and the alterations the McCollugh Technicians were doing to match the ignition system / advance to that supercharger.

That's when I knew I couldn't pull it off with my current level of mechanical knowledge. I've got too many unfinished projects to complicate tis one to the point I don't get it finished either.

A bird in the hand is better than the flock I have in the bush! David
