My son's Saved from the crusher truck
My son got a 64' shortbed today thanks to the quick thinking of my wife, she followed this old guy with the truck into a scrapyard and ask the guy " can you bring it to my house" and he did. She was told to "get the hell out of here " by the owner of the scrapyard. Oh well! The old guy said " I'd rather you get it" . Another one for the "Save A Slick foundation". Of course it needs alot of work, my son's 14 so he has time to fix it. I need to investigate it. It has a boxer bed on it which is in great shape and he likes it. I did'nt think they came on 64's, probably changed.

Lucky boy and husband! She's very supportive of my hobby and can spot a slick faster than anybody. He's all pumped about it so guess what...better make room in the garage! I did find out the bed is a different color as I suspected.

wow what a deal. your son is very lucky i myself am only 15 and still have alot to learn about the slicks. but i love the body style. i myself purchased a 66 to fix up and am currently looking at a 64 ford pickup shortbox like your sons. more details on it at "Is
This a steal" i posted earlier. Scheduled to pick it up tomorrow. Tell your son i said good luck and that its hard saving the money to do it but in the end a restoration really brings father and son together. i hope you have fun with it 66fdtrucknut. |
