1999 F-150, what are these Air conditioning tubes?

What are the tubes in my air conditioning control panel? And how do I extend them (so they will reach all the way to my arm rest compartment)?

Not exactly sure what you are talking about...but they are probably vacuum lines used to control the hvac system. Are you trying to relocate the hvac controls to the door panel?

I have already moved the control panel into the center armrest console in between the seats. It's already wired with the exception of my mystery tubes. I don't know what they do, and I definitely don't know how to extend them.

The tubes will open the plentum doors. Didn't they go to one of the knobs when you removed the control panel? Not sure, but you can probably get more of the same tube and splice them together.

Should be able to splice and extend them. Just make sure they are tight connections. They control the blend doors. Without them, hot isn't hot and cold isn't cold.

Thanks for the help. I got slightly larger tubes that would fit snugly over the existing cable, but I haven't applied any sealant yet. As far as I can tell, the cold is cold enough, and I don't dare get close to the hot temps during the summer. But my fan is not switching from the first setting when the fan knob is turned. I intend on soldering the wires soon, then I will know if all of my problems are fixed. Thanks for the imput.
