Yep, that car you posted is REAL ugly...
Anyone else here have a particular ugly car/truck etc. available in thier market?

Encho 07-30-2005 10:49 PM

Hey BigF...!

You posted a Wagon R, well until last year we had THIS model of that car (click there, then on the chevy logo, then Wagon R... ;) )

hmmm...
I couldn't get that link to bring a Wagon R up. :(
I clicked on Suzuki, and still no luck.

BTW. I meant to ask. Is Venezuela's national language Portugese?

Ok. Cool. Thanks.
I hope I didn't offend you with thinking it was Portugese.

Encho 07-30-2005 11:05 PM

No offense taken, actually Spanish/Portugese are brother tongues, having pretty much the same gramatic and structure and sharing many words

hmmm... what time is it there in Australia? right now itīs 00:04 here

That's not a wagon, it's a BOX!
*ROFL*

I tell ya what - if you want to see "BLUGLY" (Not simply ugly but BLOODY ugly) cars, try this link:

Well, that's done it. I have just spent well over two hours exploring a website I found after looking around for more strange vehicles, during which I spotted this one - which best resembles a dragonfly stuck in a quonset hut...

http://www.microcarmuseum.com/tour/vespa-ape.html

I bet I have half of FTE looking at "Those cute little toy cars" in the general automotive discussion area after posting the link to the parent website in there!

Encho 08-12-2005 04:22 PM

Actually, most of those are motorcycles, 3 wheeled ones... The one sold by Vespa was a very popular vehicle in Venezuela, mostly between ice-cream salesman (of the two major companies present in the country), and some other companies that required moving cargo in the city, those bikes where very practical.

P.S.: And yes... i spent quite some time looking at those links :)

Greywolf 08-12-2005 06:03 PM

Wow. i just got done looking at them all, and also at Bellier and Mercedes.

The Smart Micro is being introduced in Canada and I think Australia.

I can picture droves of mini's and Micros hitting the streets in the near future, I was planning on getting a motorcycle myself, but it rains fairly often here.

I am not sure about Canada, but it isn't made in Australia.
I know it is made in Germany though...

Greywolf 08-13-2005 05:27 PM

Something that bothers me about the Smart is that to my way of thinking it ain't a true micro car. It has the small size, yes. But the technology and the price of it!

Real micro's and mini's should be as basic as possible, it's a big part of their charm.

Encho 08-13-2005 07:00 PM

The problem is that trend has become a "fashion statement" in Europe, losing itīs basic quality, wich was to be an economic yet comfortable transport, They way i see it, technology isnīt a problem, an over-inflated price tag is.
