Tranny Fluid

What's the deal with changing the automatic transmission fluid? I don't have my manual with me at the moment and I have read that it is "lifetime" fluid meaning that it never has to be changed. Is this what you guys have heard as well? Im at 30K and need to make a decision soon.

If you have the synthetic fluid that is what they say, but I would still change mine evry 30,000 especially if you do alot of towing. I beleive it will save your tranny for along time comming be on the safe side. There is still a filter inthere that also has to be changed.
