Doug
Almost all the cat back systems are bolt on do it your self deals. I just put a Gibson single, stock exit on my 4x4. I wanted a nice sound but not too loud and the Gibson was almost too quiet. After forking out about $500 for the stainless steel system and looking at the posts on this forum it seems to me the way to go would be to find a good muffler shop and change out the muffler only for a nice free flo unit. Basically when you go cat back the major change is the muffler as the tubing is pretty similar.

Doug, I would suggest Corsa if you do not want something very loud and I have heard Bassani has a great sound. Corsa is bolt on and I am not sure about the Bassani.By the way, welcome aboard. Good Luck! Oh, Magnaflow and Borla are bolt ons.

I installed a Corsa Sport model on my '04 Lariat Screw, side exit with an oval tip. They also offer the dual kit. Very quick and easy install, and sounds great when you want it to, but quiet at cruising speed. Pricey, but a very nice system.

Magnaflow has a footnote on their website that the dual rear exit may need to be modified on trucks with the factory trailer hitch. I went with thier single side exit stock style. the lightning sytle is neat though. The magnaflow sounds great.

wood4logs, I am wondering how long and how many miles you have on your Corsa? Has it gotten any louder since you installed it? I also have the Corsa Sport and am wondering what to look forward to. Thanks!

Ruckus, I've had the Corsa for about 6 months and 12,000 miles. Still sounds the same to me; deep throaty sound when you get on it, and you don't even know it's there when at cruising speed. I have not really noticed improved performance, mpg, etc., but then again I never really checked that close. Works good for me.
