Hi all, new to the board and just picked up my new 05 F-150 XLT, love it. I'm wondering if anybody here is a ham op and if so, have you mounted any 2/440 mtr antennas and where did you put it/them. I'm reluctant to "drill-the-hole" in the roof at least until the first fender bender. Funny how the newness wears of real quick when that happens.

Yup , I is one of them...:-D I use a fender mount bracket that uses the stock fender bolt and no hole to drill. Mine is for 6-2-440 and the roof mt is UHF Trunk and SP VHF
