Disc Brake Question......

1989 F150 front disc brakes - I took apart the front brakes, and am changing the calipers. When I took the outboard brake pad out, there were no anti-rattle clips on it. Before I put everything back together, my question is - are there supposed to be anti-rattle clips on the outboard pads, or only on the inside ones?

Unless they changed things between the '89 & '90 models, my clips are only on the pads that are against the pistons. I would advise bending the tabs that fit into the calipers on the outboard pads to keep they tightly in place. But maybe that's were I earned my nickname?!? ...Terry, '90 F150

Thanks for the help, I just wanted to double-check before putting it all back together.

Is there an easy way to bend these tabs? I tried to bend them as best I could (which wasn't very much), but the driver's side pad is rattling around in the caliper.
