1955 Ford Pickup

My Dad bought a 1955 Ford pickup with overhead valves in 1963. He totally rebuilt it and I believe it was the original engine. Would that have been the 239? Whatever it was, it was a peppy old girl and I learned to drive on it in 1965. My Dad was out on the highway in 1965, some guy in a brand new Chev Biscayne 6 cylinder tried him on . That old truck made the new Chevy look pretty sad. I have been hooked on Ford pickups ever since. Wrenchtraveller.

If it was a factory engine it would be a Y block 239 or 272. Thanks for the cool story.
