RE: Out of Level

Hey All, I was just reading in the forums and saw the discussion regarding the SD's being out of level (I think it was L to R) and the truck was leaning to the drivers side. Ford is "fixing" the problem with shims. Has anyone here in Alaska experienced that problem. I haven't bothered paying any attention to it but as soon as I go on R&R I'm going to check my truck. My list of "checks" keeps getting longer and longer, just hope the list of "fixes" doesn't follow hand in hand:-X16

The way our roads are I don't think a little "out of level" will make much difference;)

Ya they are out of level, but it dont effect much untill you put a truck camper on them. then you need airbags to keep them level

My 04 F350 leaned on the drivers side. (1 1/2 - 2 inces lower) Took it in and was told the driver spring was bad. Had it replaced and now it sits level. F450 at work had the same issue. I have also seen other stories here at FTE about trucks leaning to one side.

yea, I didn't have any idea about the leaning issue until I read the thread on FTE. Once I get off this rig. I'll take a look at the truck....if it leans then I'll have my dealer address that prob when I get my "transmission surgery" next monday. BTW....do any of you all have any ideas or thoughts about the thread dealing with the head gaskets on the PSD's???

Off topic, What rig do you work on WilliesSD250? Looks like somewhere in the Cook Inlet. I'm currently working on the North Slope at Doyon Rig 14.

Crumm 05-04-2005 06:11 AM

Where is Doyon 14 currently at?

WilliesSD250 05-04-2005 10:55 PM

Hey TT, I'm on the "dirty" Dolly. I'll send you an email.

Doyon 14 is at Milne Point E-pad. We'll be here for 3 more wells, so we'll be here for another 6 weeks or so.
