New Carpeting and in need of the patterns

All right fellow Econoline owners, I've decided to re-carpet my interior. I know that I can use the old panels as a guide, but that might be a little off since they are already covered with carpet. Someone mentioned a book or a pattern set that lays it all out for you. Does anyone have these or know where I might get them?

Wood paneling was used to glue the carpet to on my current set up. Is this the way to go or is there better material now days?

I have someone lined up to do a custom stereo install but I know that if I'm going to change the color, it should happen first. Also, can everyone give me the good and the bad about putting all the speakers in the front and rear doors? The idea is to open them while camping or just hanging out and all the sound would be aimed toward the rear. Custom enclosures aiming the speakers up and a little back for the front speakers are going to be made. With a 300wt amp mounted in the rear behind the bench seat and the head unit is still going overhead. The sub-woofer is going under the bench seat.

Thanks for all the opinions and help,
Michael.

I believe all those years of econoline trucks and vans only had a rubber floor cover. It was only in the front. Any carpet in the vehicle would most likely been done by someone. I maybe wrong, but I have never seen that as an option on the econolines til newer models.
