Runs good on cold morning

I have a new flexfuel 3.0, and in the morning on the way to work this thing runs great, peppy, smoother. When I come home it is in the 70's and big differance, I notice I have to use a lot more pedal to get the thing going, whats up? Alot of good info here, Thanks
PS can I trick this thing to think it is cold?

Yo Daedgar,

Some very inexpensive things that I did to help my truck which is a 2000 3.0 Flex fuel Vulcan engine was to do the air box mod with a high flow filter, 180 thermostat, and the hot water bypass. Those three together cool the engine and intake a bit and get more cooler air flowing into the intake. I had a really bad pinging problem in the day with the AC on and the engine under load like going up hill. You can check to see if you need to do the throttle cable mod which will take the slack out of your throttle cable and will give you much better throttle response. The most expensive part of these mods was the high flow filter the rest just use scrap material and are easy mods for a beginner. All of these mods can be found by doing a search on the forums and you should be able to find pics describing the mods as well to help you along. Be warned, when you start making mods to your truck it can be extremely addicting and you'll find it hard to stop the fun once you start down that road. :>)
