How much should I sell the 2002 XLT for?
 

Guys and gals,
We have decided to buy a little bigger camper to tow and so we will be moving up to the Explorer size vehicle. In the meantime, I have this beautiful 2002 red Escape XLT, 4wd, perfectly maintained, no problems whatsoever, with towing package. It has about 45000 miles, all highway, on it. The different kelley prices all put together seem to average around $15,000 for a vehicle like mine in excellent shape. Is this price reasonable for a private sale in Minnesota? I would love to get that toward the $30,000 I will need for the larger vehicle. Any tips on the best way to sell a car via private sale--I have honestly never done it and don't really know what kind of things can make a difference. Thanks!

if you are planning to buy a new vehicle from a dealer. Go figure out which one you want to buy , then ask them how much you can get for a trading in your Escape.
