any reason not to switch to a chevy

well ia m looking at switching from ford to a chevy just for the reason of looks and the interior is much nicer. is their any real reason not to? key word being real.

i have a f 350 now and i am looking at the 3500 dually or single rear wheel. duramax. etc etc. like i said the onlt real reason is because i am looking at doing alot of pulling with my duramax and i would like something that is more driver friendly and comfortable. what do you guys think?

I presume you have a 04 350 or older. Have you driven or tried out the newer SDs with all the new features?. Everybody that has a 05 SD seems to love there trucks. As far as looks the SDs wins hands down. Interiors on the 05s are pretty nice. Do you have a crew cab or regular cab now. With the Chevy your going to lose some interior room compared to the Ford. I own a SD and have ridden in a Chevy HD Ford has way more room. In my opinion stick with Ford. Ive seen people go the GM route that have had a SD and it seems like there back in A Ford again. Tells me Ford has the edge in HDs.

The newer Chevies look terrible. Inside and out. Super Duties are by far the best looking most powerful trucks on the road right now.

why would you want a chevy i would go with the 6.0 powerstroke

Fordlover55 01-25-2005 04:25 AM

Driver friendly? Ford has the most comfortable interior on the market. The ride cannot be beat. But if you insist upon buying a Duramax, go for it ... we all live and we all learn, through experience... be it right or wrong.

is more driver friendly
I am confused, what this means, how do you define or quantify this.

Go with the Chevy HD. The Duramax/Allison combo won't let you down like the 6.0PS/Torqshift will. Look at any forum discussing the 6.0PS or the Torqshift and you'll see what I mean.

try out one of the 05 super duty fords first if you already haven't

I think my neighbor summed it up the best with his quote
"Fords are a working mans truck and Chevy's are for those who use them as cars". The best thing about this is he has a 03 Chevy Avalanche. Whenever he needs to do work that involves a truck, he borrows mine.

Test drive them both and research them both. I think you will find the 05 SD a better truck, but do your own research and make sure it is your decision and not just the opinion of others.

The new Chevy's look like the Avalanche which is one ugly vehicle. If you want a truck that is like a car...by a Chevy.....want a truck? Get a Ford. If I wanted comfort, softer ride and creature comforts.....I would get a car.

Get what ever make you happy man. Happy with my FORD.

So what your saying is to have a truck you need to be uncomforatble?

The D/A is a very capable hauler - don't knock it cause it's comforatble to.

O.k o.k. now, it's just preference. Settle down.
